This is sort of an extension from the last entry.
The Victim of circumstances…
.
Everyone takes their loved ones for granted. Don’t start telling me that’s not you and how much you love your parents and siblings and girlfriends/boyfriends and sons/daughters and what not. Cut all those crap.
.
How much you care about your loved ones has nothing to do with taking them for granted.
.
The point is we take them for granted because they love us and we damn well know it.
.
Most of the time, we punish those who are dearest to us and whom their love for us is greater than anything on earth. We punish them simply because they are the ones closest to us.
.
Look at how we lash at those closest to us when we had a bad day at school/work. How we let our temper go out of control when we are with them. How we tease them with sarcasm so hurtful they just don’t know how to reply when they did something that sound foolish to us. Or simply how we never talk to them in a proper tone and with respect.
.
Maybe it’s because we know no matter how much we hurt them, they will always be our parents/siblings. We know that they will always be on our side.
.
That alone is enough reason for us to appreciate them even more.
.
And maybe because we live in a world where we simply couldn’t care less, where individuality is the game and caring is a sign of weakness.
Yours Sincerely,
the VIctim
